We could not have asked for better weather today. We were met this morning with less than 2 foot seas and a beautiful clear sky. The Fishing was just as pleasant with nice solid Red Snapper and a fast limit of Kingfish. Even managed to chum up a couple nice Gray Snapper. We are pleased to see that our Snapper season has been extended and now have a few more days open to fish for them. Looking forward to what looks to be a really nice first week of the 2013 Season. Fishing is heating up right along with the daily temperatures. We still have a few days open for the Red Snapper season. The wind has finally given us a break and we are looking forward to the next few days on the Gulf.
The first couple of days of the 2013 Red Snapper season have gone pretty well. The wind has given us a little trouble but the forecast over the next several days is for smooth sailing. The Snapper have been averaging about 15 pounds. Kingfish have made us work a little harder but we have been finding them daily , as well as a some bonus Cobia along the way. Many thanks Russell I always enjoy your group and look forward to seeing you again in a couple weeks.
Booked today as a Bluewater trip with intentions of chasing Beeliners . Jacks
and Kingfisfish. You can have all the best plans and along comes the wind To change them for you. Despite to change in plans the fish just can't hide ! We just regrouped and putt the smack down on the redfish and sharks ! The bite today was just about as good as it gets ! Little bit of a bumpy ride out this morning but we made a day of it . Beeliners
and all our jacks me it all worth while ! Another good day behind us ! Here is one of our our 6 man limit of Jack. Amberjack season ends May 31, 2013 and reopens August 1, 2013 for the remainder of the year.
seems every year as we get busy , I fall behind on my report. The wind has given us fits this spring but we have been able to pull of most trips without a hitch. The Amberjack and Snapper fishing have been really consistant. Mkaing bait in the mornings for the jacks has been another thing all together but we have been able to find whatwe need to make the day
Amberjack fishing has be consistant. Having to work a little harder for them
than i would like but we have been catching limits none the less. Many thanks to Wynn Jeffers and Crew ! Look forward to seeing tall again in August ! Capt. Mike J. We had another good day on the water today. Not many occasions for Capt. Coby
and myself to fish together. But when we do , it sure reminds me of how spoiled I was with him on the deck. Finished the day with a limit of snapper, amber jacks and bull redfish, oh and one token triggerfish. Capt. Mike J. Currently the Red Snapper season has been set from June 1 to June 12 2013 , There may be a recomendation to add about 400.000 lbs to this years alocation . If it changes the date and gives us a few more days I will update. But for now ,if you want to fish for red snapper you will need to book a trip in the first 12 days of June. Capt. Mike J.
