We could not have asked for better weather today. We were met this morning with less than 2 foot seas and a beautiful clear sky. The Fishing was just as pleasant with nice solid Red Snapper and a fast limit of Kingfish. Even managed to chum up a couple nice Gray Snapper. We are pleased to see that our Snapper season has been extended and now have a few more days open to fish for them. Looking forward to what looks to be a really nice first week of the 2013 Season. seems every year as we get busy , I fall behind on my report. The wind has given us fits this spring but we have been able to pull of most trips without a hitch. The Amberjack and Snapper fishing have been really consistant. Mkaing bait in the mornings for the jacks has been another thing all together but we have been able to find whatwe need to make the day
Currently the Red Snapper season has been set from June 1 to June 12 2013 , There may be a recomendation to add about 400.000 lbs to this years alocation . If it changes the date and gives us a few more days I will update. But for now ,if you want to fish for red snapper you will need to book a trip in the first 12 days of June. Capt. Mike J.
The wind is finally giving us and few breaks and the fishing is world class. Here is one of Capt. Coby's trips from this weekend, Amberjack and Beeliners (Vermilion Snapper) , Amberjack season will close for 60 days on June 1st . we only have a couple weeks left to fish for them until August. Red Snapper season opens in just 2 weeks and the fishing is as good as ever. Summer is just around the corner and we would be proud to be a part of your family vacation.
